1. Instructions are in the folder "instruct", in the file "instruct.htm".
These instructions explain how to use WarBOT in the World Warlords League.
Read them with your favorite Web browser. They should be at least
approximately valid for all three versions of WarBOT: Mac, Windows, and DOS.

2. WBATTLES.TXT and WBATTLES.XLS are note sheets for those who cannot run
Warlords and WarBOT simultaneously, and need to record prospective battles
before fighting them. Many thanks to Barry Brook, Ivan Baird, and Bill Irwin!
They are also useful if you need to record battle info for writing turn reports.
They do not replace the existing turn report template or complte WarBOT
output, which must be included each turn.

3. Release Notes:
The WarBOT release notes are in the file "WarBOT16.htm".
There are still a few remaining bugs (at least in the interface,
and possibly in the combat routines), and some more features which we
hope to add in future versions (such as auto-generation of army set
stats files), but this is a functional release which should serve you well.

4. Detailed information about the Tournament army set and the
Warlords battle bonuses system can be found in the "bonuses" directory:

    * ArmySet.txt is the Tournament Army Set ReadMe file

Read these with your favorite Web browser:

    * The folder "info" contains bonuses.htm, with a general
explanation of the bonus system using the Erythea army set.

    * The folder "tournam" contains bonustrn.htm, which
explains the bonus system using the Tournament army set.
Also in this folder is "examples.htm", which includes
a large number of battle bonus and WarBOT examples and
      frequently-asked questions.

The information in these files is as accurate as possible.
This information explains how Warlords *really* works,
based on running actual test battles, and often corrects
errors in the manual. If you fail to study it, you may
face some nasty surprises! But as they say,
forewarned is forearmed...

Finally, remember how to download future versions of WarBOT:

(1) If you email warlords@madness.net and put one of the following
commands in the Subject: line, WarBOT will be emailed to you
    as (large!) attached file:
Subject: GetDOSWarBOT (PC, DOS version. ~400k when 100% ready.)
Subject: GetWinWarBOT (PC, Windows version. 1.4 MB total.)
Subject: GetMacPPCWarBOT (Mac, PowerPC version. 1.4 MB total.)
Subject: GetMac68kWarBOT (Mac, 68k version. 1.2 MB total.)

(2) If large email attachments are a problem for you, get WarBOT from
    the Web via http://www.pixgen.com/~rfheeter/w2home/archive/oddstools/

(3) If you have downloading problems, email Bob Heeter, rfheeter@pixgen.com
